The last week of June

This past week has been filled with ups and downs all around.
In the ER we had terrible sadness with the death of a 20 month old baby from pneumonia after trying to stabilize him for transfer to a specialized pediatric facility, our hospital only has an adult and a neo-natal ICU, no children., then today in some of the news programs they announced the find of the bodies of the 3 missing Israeli teenagers. (Hopefully the missing Nigerian girls will be found).
On the other hand great joy in watching Liora and Ayala perform at their concert, was a highlight for the week.
And 25 people read my blog daily, I am not sure if it is 25 different people or my mother clicking on the link 25 times just to make me feel good!

Today is the 30 June, 2014 is half over already, what happened and where was I?

Exciting news for my friend Dudu, we had an order for her men's neckties which she makes entirely out of beads, 1 to Canada and 1 to England, not to mention a custom order.

Right now writing this blog is quite frustrating I have no idea what I am doing wrong or if it is my internet or my browser or some other thing to do with computers that I don't understand, but I am struggling to upload pictures and then every now and then everything I have just written vanishes without a trace!

I will persevere, I will beat this inanimate object and get my blog out WITH pictures!

Till tomorrow everyone have a good day/night where ever you are.

Chilling Sunday

Macaroni with Broccoli & Peas

As usual Sunday was a busy day.
Liora and Ayala had a school concert, two shows one at 2pm and one at 6pm.  Liora was expected to be at the concert hall by 11:30. I still had to get to the shops which only open at 9am for the weekly shop, then get home and French Braid the girls hair as requested by the concert director.
I went and did my shopping and got home did both their hair and make up and got them into costume, then had to run back to the shop for something I forgot. Milk!! I also forgot that I had said to my sister-in-law that I would take Liora and my niece to the hall.  They did get there, just a little late.
Back home I made some quick vegetarian sausages for the girls to snack on before the show. I took Ayala to the hall to get ready at one.
Back home I had to make food for after the concert, unpack the shopping that I didn't do when I got home earlier.
The girls arrived home at 3:30 after a successful concert. Give the girls something to eat and somehow get them to rest a bit. At 4:30 I went with the girls to fetch Zahava from her friend to come and see her sisters sing and off to the hall, redo make up and hair do's where necessary.
It was a sweet concert, with debilitatingly shy Liora doing her bit from the back row and Ayala leading her bit from the front.
We were home by 7:30pm time for a quick supper (see recipe page) and bed at last, for the girls that is, not for me.

Fashionable Thursday

I have chosen to dedicate Thursdays blog to fashion.
I will cover like color palettes, mixing and matching, fashion trends, fashion bloopers, hair and make up, Shoes and of course jewelry.

To start I thought I would post a few fashion by designers who were obviously chemically enhanced at the time they came up with the idea.

I am sorry but this was the face of fashion at the Stockholm Fashion week?!?  And the poor model who got to wear it? I hope they paid her extra.

Maybe the pink one if you are Angelina Jolie, but I may duck out of this fashion scene and become a palace guard for Prince Charming in that white getup.

I know they call it color blocking but still I just feel some colors should never be worn at the same time, maybe that's why I will never be a fashion guru.

My taste is a bit more traditional.

I love this blog Penny Pincher Fashion http://www.pennypincherfashion.com/, she has great ideas. and also show outfits in different price ranges.

I also like looking at online shops to get ideas of what is trending and then making jewelry or watches in those colors.
All large clothing stores have websites where they show their wares. I have found that when you look online you will find things that may not be in your local stores, so you get a better range online and you don't have to fight the crowds.
